Values

Beliefs on Doctrine- His Table Church is fully committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe and submit to the authority of Scripture. Our Statement of Faith reflects this commitment and outlines what we believe to be the fundamental teachings of the Bible. We believe the following:

The Bible-

Consisting of the Old and New Testament (66 Books), the Bible is God’s Holy Word. The scriptures are without error and are divinely inspired through the Holy Spirit. The Bible directs all we believe, profess, and how we live out our lives. 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21

God the Father-

There is only one true God, Jehovah, existing as one essence in three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has existed before time and by Him all things were made. Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10,11, Luke 3:22, Matthew 28:18-20, John 1:14, Hebrews 1:3 Psalms 24:1

God the Son-

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Born of a Virgin and conceived of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was sent to this world that whosoever would believe in would receive eternal life. Jesus is the Word made flesh. Jesus was crucified, buried for 3 days, and now is seated at the right hand of the Father. Matthew 1:21-23, 1 John 4: 1-14, John 5:22-23, 1 Peter 1:8, Luke 1:31-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Acts 1:9, Acts 1:11, Acts 2:33, Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3

God the Holy Spirit-

Sent by the Father and Son, the Holy Spirit testifies of the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit is a comforter. He brings unity, gifts, and revelation of scripture to the church. The Holy Spirit is to be worshipped along with the Father and Son. John 15:26-27, Ephesians 1:13-14

Baptism and Gifts of the Holy Spirit-

Promised by the Father and foretold by the Son, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience all believers should desire. The baptism of the Hoy Spirit brings power, gifts, comfort, peace, and boldness to proclaim the Gospel. Believers should pursue the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Where the Holy Spirit is present and operating the fruit of the Spirit will be found. The gifts of the Spirit should edify the individual believer and the church as a whole. Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12, Acts 8: 12-17, Acts 10: 44-46

Humanity-

We believe man/woman to have been created in the image of God. Man/woman is the image bearer of God therefore every man/woman is deserving of worth and dignity. Genesis 1: 27-30, 1 Corinthians 10:31

Sin-

We believe sin entered the world through Adam, the first man, and now is inherent to every man and woman at birth. Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 3:9-20, Romans 5:12-19

Salvation-

We believe that salvation only comes though faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is God’s promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven. John 3: 5- 8, John 3:16, Hebrews 10: 19-25, Galatians 2:20

Water Baptism-

We believe in full submersion, as Jesus modeled, water baptism. Water baptism is a public acknowledgement of the regeneration that has taken place in a believer’s life. Matthew 3: 13-17 Romans 6: 1-14

Sanctification-

Following salvation the Holy Spirit brings about sanctification through God’s word. Romans 12:1-2, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:15-16

The Church-

We believe that the Church is the bride of Christ. The Church is God’s hands and feet to reach the world with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1: 22-23, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrews 12:23, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28: 19-20, Mark 16: 15-16, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 4: 11-16, 1 Corinthians 12:28, 1 Corinthians 14:12, James 1:27

The Second Coming-

We believe in the rapture of the Saints followed by the visible and physical return of Jesus Christ to Judge the living and the dead. Zechariah 14:5, Matthew 24:27, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 19: 11-20, Revelation 20: 1-15 , Matthew 25:46, Mark 9: 43-48, Revelation 21:8
